Diagnosing node connectivity to the Secure Edge Portal

After updating the Edge Node’s (formerly Edge iNode) uplink settings, it's a good idea to verify that everything is configured correctly. You can use the Node CLI or web UI to run diagnostics, which help confirm connectivity with the Secure Edge portal (previously referred to as Orchestrator).

If you encounter any issues, share the diagnostic output with the Support Team at [email protected] so we can better identify and resolve the problem.

Run diagnostics using the CLI

To run diagnostics, use the diag command with the following steps.

This command is available only in the nodeos distro of the node operating system, for version 2208.y.z or later. If you’re not sure of the version or distro you have, Finding Edge Node version and distro.
  1. Use SSH to connect to the node. (For instructions on using SSH to connect to an Edge Node, see Access an Edge Node console.)
  2. To run diagnostics, use the diag command with the following options:
    Shell
    > diag --all orchestrator-connection
The output should be similar to the following example:
  3. Send the output to [email protected].

Run diagnostics with the web UI

To run diagnostics, expand the Diagnostics section and select Run Diagnostic. The output in the text box will help identify any connectivity issues. You can also select Export Report to export the diagnostics report, which you can then share with [email protected] for troubleshooting assistance.
