Remote Access app servers

The Remote Access app servers are secure virtual desktop instances (Windows or Linux) used to host OT applications. Detailed configurations for app servers are available in the product data sheet, which you can request from your Account Manager.

Application administrators are users in the Remote Access Portal who have permissions to manage specific applications on the app servers.

To access app servers:

  • Application admins and regular users must be in the same group as the app server endpoints.
  • App server endpoints must be onboarded as devices in the Remote Access Portal.

You can access app servers through the Remote Access Portal:

  • Windows app servers are accessed via RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol).
    • Windows app servers are limited to two concurrent RDP sessions by default. To increase the number of concurrent user sessions, additional licenses can be purchased.
  • Linux app servers are accessed via SSH (Secure Shell).
    • Linux app servers have no restrictions on concurrent SSH access.

To purchase App-Server instances, or for more information, contact your Account Manager or the Support Team at [email protected].
