Find the node version and distro with the CLI
A few CLI commands are not available in older Edge Node operation system versions and/or distro. To find your node operating system version and distro, use the show version command.
For debian distro, the show version command output looks like this:
For nodeos distro, the show version command output looks like this:
When a CLI command is available only from a particular node operating system version and/or distro, we call this out in the usage of the command.
Find the node version and distro with the web UI
The node version and serial number is listed at the top of the web UI page.
