Enabling the Unified Cloud Gateway

The Unified Cloud Gateway feature optimizes allowlisting requirements for Edge Node (formerly Edge iNode) outbound connections by using a Cloud Connector (formerly Virtual iNode) as a cloud proxy. This proxy reduces the number of required allowlist IP addresses from 5 to 2, while maintaining full functionality of the Edge Node. Below is a simplified architecture of this solution.

This feature is not self-service and comes with an additional fee. To enable the Unified Cloud Gateway in your environment, contact your Customer Success representative or [email protected].

Once the Unified Cloud Gateway is enabled, you can monitor the cloud proxy connection details and status on the Edge Node’s details page, as shown in the example below.
